Troy Brown, president of Kretz Lumber Co. in Antigo, believes that working to build solid relationships with employees will get his company through both good times and bad.
For Troy Brown, it’s all about being “real.” Troy, president of the 80-year-old Kretz Lumber Co. Inc. in Antigo, says he used to get nervous doing interviews, but then realized that all he had to do was be “real.”
It’s that genuineness that clearly comes through whether Troy is deep in conversation with his company’s vice-president Diane Bielen or one of its truckers or sawmill workers – a genuineness that helps him build the relationships he believes are key to a successful business.
