NORTHEAST - Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) presented its second annual “Sheboygan County Economic Driver of the Year” Award to Ben Salzmann, President and CEO of Acuity. • Research conducted by Super Lawyers® has awarded the Super Lawyer® distinction to 37 attorneys at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. In addition, 24 Godfrey & Kahn attorneys have been recognized as 2011 Wisconsin Rising Stars®. • Larry Alsum, Owner of Alsum Farms & Produce Inc. was recognized by Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin for donating 302,306 meals in fiscal 2011. • Terrie Pohjola, SECURA Vice President, Associations & Programs, has been honored as one of Business Insurance’s 2011 Women to Watch • The Wisconsin Family Business Forum welcomes its newest member, Fedco Electronics, Inc.

Northwest – David Eckmann, Director for Marathon County Economic Development Corporation recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. • Building Community Capacity through Broadband has been awarded a Top Rural Development Award 2011 from Wisconsin Rural Partners, Inc. • Linda Sharretts, the office administrator at Bakke Norman Law Offices, has been honored with an Unsung Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Southeast – The Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin has given a 2011 Torch Award for Business Ethics and Integrity to Batzner Pest Management. • Public accounting and business advisory firm Vrakas/Blum, S.C. is pleased to announce that Sara Johnson has recently passed all parts of the CPA exam. • Marini Tool and Die Company has changed its name to Marini Manufacturing, Inc. to coincide with its 60th anniversary. • Logan Productions, Inc. won the 2011 Silver Davey Awards from the International Academy of Visual Arts, for its film “History of Horicon — Grain Drills to Gators” to commemorate the John Deere Horicon Works facility. • The Wisconsin Dental Association’s “Promoting Early Childhood Dental Health” program has won a 2011 American Dental Association Golden Apple Award. • Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. was recently named a “Highly Recommended Wisconsin Litigation Firm” by Benchmark Litigation.
